The Sultana Bran Hockey One League is back in 2022 and NSW Pride is gearing up for a massive second season following the release of the season fixtures and our membership packages.

For the first time ever, the competition will head to the region with NSW Pride’s first home game taking place at the McGlynn Sports Complex in Parkes.

A hotbed for hockey talent in New South Wales, Parkes will host Pride’s final home game with the Canberra Chill on November 12 in front of what is expected to be a sold-out local crowd.

Local Parkes products, Hockeyroo Mariah Williams and Kurt Lovett of the Kookaburras will be fan favorites as they rush to the field named in Mariah’s honor.

But before that, NSW Pride will stage back-to-back rounds at their home in Sydney’s Olympic Park – the Lion’s Den – against the Perth Thundersticks (21/10) and Brisbane Blaze (28/10).

Friday night’s match against the Blaze will be a heavyweight match, with the men’s grand finalists of 2019 going head-to-head in a replay that’s sure to be feisty.

NSW Pride Calendar 2022

In a highly anticipated away match, HC Melbourne will host NSW Pride on matchday one of the 2021 season on Thursday September 29 at the State Netball and Hockey Centre.

Our teams travel to Adelaide and Tasmania for their final away games of the season in what are sure to be heated clashes in front of large home crowds.

After COVID caused the last two editions of Hockey One to be postponed, the 2022 season will begin on September 29 and culminate with the Men’s and Women’s Grand Finals in November.

The season will once again feature seven rounds as well as a new finals festival format, with every game LIVE on Fox Sports or Kayo. Once again, each matchday will feature a men’s and women’s double header, with all matches played back-to-back.

Hockey NSW CEO Emma Highwood is incredibly excited about the upcoming season and the opportunity to showcase NSW pride to regional hockey fans.

“After a long hiatus, it’s fantastic to finally kick off Hockey One’s 2022 season. We’re on a mission to make it bigger and better than ever – both on and off the field,” Highwood said.

“NSW Pride is a team the whole state can support, so it’s really exciting to have one of our home games in the great town of Parkes. Almost 70% of our New South Wales hockey community lives in the region, with a large percentage of those based in the mid-west. So it made sense to bring one of the home games to a passionate regional hockey center.
