Ted Ligety, two-time Olympic gold medalist and five-time world ski champion, announces new partnership with Carv to develop breakthrough training program

Ted Ligety, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and five-time Alpine Skiing World Champion, shares the secrets of the perfect ski turn by announcing a new partnership with Carv (www.getcarv.com), the leading ski training system world that measures your skiing in real time.

A magnetic personality on the snow, Ted has spent his life perfecting the turn on skis, reshaping the technique used in the sport and winning medals in the process. Ligety has developed a revolutionary technique on the snow that has made him unbeatable. He now wants to help skiers around the world improve their skiing technique and expertise through his partnership with Carv, the world’s most powerful digital ski coach.

“My mission is to make skiing more accessible and fun. I’ve spent my entire career pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on skis, and with this partnership, I’ve put that experience into a program that most skiers can follow. Our goal was to develop a real-time coaching experience that helps a wide range of skiers make the kind of turns they could only dream of. I was amazed by the accuracy of the Carv system, but also how the Carv technology helps skiers around the world with digital coaching. What’s particularly exciting is that we used Carv’s database of 200 million turns to see how skiers will respond to training, using specific metrics to measure and teach the perfect turn.

Also new in 22/23 membership

Carv Video Trainer – With 13 different metrics measured at every turn, Carv is the most accurate analysis system available to skiers. But we wanted to go even further this year. New for this season, Carv will release ski boots. Members will now be able to ask anyone to record a video of their skiing (the videographer does not need to be a member), overlay their Carv data (synchronized frame by frame) and share their best turns on social networks.

“Our mission is to unlock the thrill of a big turn for as many skiers as possible. We’ve spent years creating this incredible analysis tool, but people learn faster by seeing what’s going on. We wanted our skiers can match data from Carv with a visual of how they look We’ve built this incredibly powerful coaching system where you can match the feel of a big turn with your Ski:IQ and see where you skied best But perhaps the best part is that you can really claim those bragging rights by sharing it with your friends.
