The Russian uniform for the Beijing Winter Olympics was unveiled on Friday without the name, flag or coat of arms of Russia, as the uniform was at the Tokyo Games.

Some garments, however, will feature the national colors of Russia.

The President of the Russian Olympic Committee, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, said during the presentation that “our athletes will be the most beautiful and the most elegant in the next games”.

A decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in December 2020 banned Russia from using its name and symbols at events as a punishment for failing to provide accurate data from the Moscow drug testing laboratory.

The team in Beijing, just like in Tokyo, will be known as the ROC for Russian Olympic Committee.

Russian athletes are allowed to participate in the Olympics under a neutral flag, and as long as they have not been involved in the doping scandal.

The CAS decision is in effect until December 16, 2022.
